Library Services
Library Services has introduced some exciting new resources this year. Reading in Action inspires students to read beyond the classroom and helps teachers to extend their lessons plans. Teachers and students can browse Bookcasts for book reviews, audio book talks, grade level, and standards connections of the newest book releases. Library Services provides a lending library of over 13,000 books, and DVDs for children and young adults through the My FCOE Portal. Thematic standards aligned resource bundles are available upon request. Library staff conducts regular workshops for library technicians, literacy coaches, and teacher librarians in library basics, information literacy, web 2.0 applications for the library, and library based independent reading programs.
